5IfyouselectedtheLoginascurrentusercomponent,youcanfurtherconfigurethe
defaultbehaviorwhenusersloginusingViewClient:
SelectShowinconnectiondialogtodisplaytheLoginascurrentusercheck
boxintheViewClientconnectiondialogbox.
Whenthischeckboxisselected,theidentityandcredentialinformationthat
theuserprovidedwhenloggingintotheclientsystemispassedtotheView
ConnectionServer
instanceandultimatelytotheViewdesktop.
SelectSetdefaultoptiontologinascurrentusertohavetheLoginascurrent
usercheckboxselectedbydefaultintheViewClientconnectiondialogbox.
ClickNext.
6AcceptthedefaultdestinationfolderorclickChangetouseadifferentdestination
folderandclickNext.
7 (Optional)Enter
thedefaultIPaddressorFQDNoftheservertowhichtheclient
willconnectandclickNext.
8ConfigureshortcutsfortheViewClientandclickNext.
9TolaunchViewClientwheninstallationiscompleted,selectthecheckbox.
10 ClickInstall>Finish.
To start View Client with Offline Desktop
1IfViewClientdoesnotstart
automaticallyafterinstallation,doubleclickthedesktop
shortcutorclickStart>Pro grams>VMware>ViewManagerClient.
2IntheConnectionServerdropdownmenu,enterthehostnameorIPaddressof
aViewConnectionServer.
3 (Optional)IftheLoginascurrentusercheckboxisdisplayed,
youcanselectthis
checkboxtousethecredentialsthatyouspecifiedwhenyouloggedintothis
systemtologintotheViewConnectionServerandtheViewdesktop.
IfyoudonotselectLoginascurrentuser,youhavetoprovidecredentialstolog
in
multipletimesbeforeyoucanaccessaViewdesktop.
IfyouselectLoginascurrentuserandyouareauthorizedtologintotheView
ConnectionServer,youarenotpromptedtoenterlogincredentialsinStep 5.
