To add a physical disk to an existing virtual machine
1 Selectthevirtualmachine.
2Makesurethevirtualmachineispoweredoff.
3 ChooseVM>Settings.

5OntheHardwareTypepage,selectHardDiskandclickNext.
6OntheSelectaDiskpage,selectUseaphysicaldiskandclickNext.
7Ifawarningappears,clickOK.
8OntheSelectaPhysicalDiskpage,dothefollowing:
a Choosethephysicalharddisktousefromthedrop‐downlist.
Workstationsupportsphysicaldisksupto2TB.
b Selectwhetheryouwanttousetheentirediskoronlyindividualpartitionson
thediskandclickNext.
9IfyouselectedUseindividualpartitions,selectthepartitionsyouwanttousein
thevirtualmachineandcli
ckNext.
Thevirtualmachinecanaccessonlythepartitionsyouselect.Theguestoperating
systemmightbeabletodetectotherpartitions,butyoucannotmount,access,or
formatthem.

physicaldisk.
