Workstationsupportsvirtualmachineswith64‐bitguestoperatingsystemsonlyon
hostmachinesthathaveoneofthesupported64‐bitprocessors.Whenyoupowerona
virtualmachinewitha64‐bitguestoperatingsystem,Workstationperformsaninternal
check.IfthehostCPUisnotasupported64‐bitpr
ocessor,youcannotpoweronthe
virtualmachine.
Workstationsupportsvirtualmachineswith64‐bitguestoperatingsystems,running
onhostmachineswiththefollowingprocessors:
RevisionDorlaterofAMDAthlon64,Opteron,Turion64,andSempron
IntelPentium4andCore2,andCorei7processorswithEM64TandIntel
