64‐bitversionsofthetheseguestoperatingsystemsmightnotworkwithsome
oldhostCPUs.
Unsupportedvirtualhardware–SMPandparavirtualizationonVMIarenot
supportedwithrecord/replay.
Diskspace–Howmuchdiskspacearecordingusesdependsonthetypeof
activitythatoccursonthevirtualmachineandthedurationoftherecording
session.Bydefault,ascreenshotiscreatedevery15seconds.Therefore,assume
thatyouwillneedseveralmegabytesofdiskspaceforonemi
nuteofrecording.
Diskmode–Youcannotusetherecord/replayfeatureifthevirtualmachine’s
virtualharddiskissettoindependentmode.Recordingvirtualmachineactivity
requireswritingdataaboutthedisktoacontinualsnapshot.Usethevirtual
machinesettingseditortochangethediskmode(selectVM>Settings>Hardware
>HardDi
sk>Advanced).
